British Dressage Breeding Championships 13th July 2006 - Gaining 4th Place in the 5 year old Snuggy Hoods Dressage Pony with a score of 6.6 and highest placed SPSS Pony ridden by Rebecca Palmer

Harry was purchased by ourselves as a weanling foal, having been bred selectively by Mr Sandy Anderson of Thistledown Stud using the stunning palomino sire Delvers Tarragon and his gold medal winning mare Paddock Northern Lustre, who both hold strong bloodlines of the famous stallions Downland Chevalier and Paddock Camargue.

As a yearling, two and three year old he was successfully home produced, won and was highly placed at county level on numerous occasions at many venues including Newark & Notts County show, Lincolnshire Agricultural Show, Derby County Show, Ryedale Show, to name but a few, he has also taken many Supremes and Championships, with many commendable comments from the judges on his superb manners.

Harry was broken at the end of summer '05 with the intention of producing him as a dressage pony.  This has proved to be the right decision after he qualified for the Regional Finals at both Novice and Elementary Open Level in just a few outings at affiliated level.  His temperament, attitude and outlook on life make competing a pleasure to partner.

He is proving without doubt to be very trainable and his results below show his development at each competition.  He has competed regularly at a variety of venues, taking each occasion in his stride and gaining excellent results.  With his exquisite temperament and intelligence he is an eager and willing person, trying always to please.

He was presented at the 2005 Stallion Grading with the SPSS and was granted a temporary license for 2006 with the comment "attentive to rider throughout" which was reviewed and awarded again for 2007, he was granted permanent SPSS Grading and License for his results and progeny at the end of 2007. 

With his huge expressive movement and active hind leg he has proved time over to pass through to his progeny alongside beautiful heads, huge walks, athletic expressive movement and correct paces.

Harry is suitable for all types of mares from producing lead rein, show, dressage, and quality sports and show ponies from bigger mares which we are sure will all excel in every type of equine discipline.  He has proved on numerous occasions that his progeny have the manners and paces to excel, stock presented at the BEF Futurity scheme have gained 1st premiums, Champions, and also Won at the SPSS Annual Show in the Youngstock classes.  He has progeny already passed as graded mares, winning at County Level, and Bathleyhills Flashlight awarded Champion at the BEF Futurity scheme and gaining 3rd place overall two year old.  Progeny are also excelling on the hunting field with novice children.  His first coloured foal was sold within a few days of advertising.

To top it all he has the most outstanding temperament needed in a childs pony.  He has manners to burn, and is regularly handled and ridden alongside mares by small children.  He is stabled and turned out on our mixed yard with no problems.

Bathleyhills Copper Dream - sold ..."Harvey" Welsh Section B Gelding, born 2004 out of Rohey Sparkling Maydream by Thistledown Copper Lustre.  Has been placed at the NCPA Show he attended.  Very big moving pony who is ridden and jumped regularly by children.  Hacked out good in traffic.

Bathleyhills Chanel Allure - 1st Premium Yearling  - sold - "Arnold" born 15th May 2008 out of Chanel V by Thistledown Copper Lustre, winner of Male Youngstock with 87% at the SPSS Mare Grading and Show 2009. To make 158cms a huge moving athletic pony.

 

Bathleyhills Touch Of Lustre - Champion In Hand Yearling - "Grace" born 14th May 2009 out of Blaircourt Touchwood by Thistledown Copper Lustre, gained 3rd place Riding Pony Foal at NCPA show 18th October 2009.  1st Youngstock at Arena UK.  Grace is to be retained at stud as a future brood mare.

Thistledown Copper Lustre aka Harry had a super morning with Gabi. Winning the Prelim 12 with 72.8% and 2nd in the Intro with 72.6%.

Another super day today!!!!! Harry won at the Inter schools competition at Arena Uk today with 72% in between warm up, then Polly going off to jump her pony in the 90cms clear and being the winning team for toothill school as well, then flying back to go in the dressage with Harry and doing a fab test!!!!!!

Then a fabulous afternoon at the Rotherwood Stud Open day seeing lots of gorgeous ponies and foals and meeting up with lots of friends!!!!!! Coffee and cake just made the day as well!!!!!!!!!!!

Harry a went superb with his new little jockey Gabi and gained 6th place in both the intro and their first novice with super scores of over 66%

Had a super day today at PES dressage!!!!!!

Gabi and Harry came 3rd in the Intro a with a fabulous score of of 65.70% on her debut outing on Harry who also hasn't been out with a tiny jockey for years!!!!!!!!
