Ted is jointly owned with the Metheringham Upton Stud and has been with us for almost a year now and has proved to be all that we could have dreamt of. He arrived with us straight out of a field after the Winter months in April 2008, being very hairy and in a winter condition. He has slowly become a superb stamp of a purebred Irish Draught growing up in both condition and fitness.

His conformation is superb alongside good movement and the most exceptional temperament.

With his excellent bloodlines and temperament we believe he will be an asset to any mare owner to produce the most fabulous youngstock.

He is housed alongside our other stallions in an American Barn system with mares and foals surrounding and passing him daily. What more could you ask for? He is worked in our outdoor manege surrounded by mares, foals, youngstock and older ridden horses which as you can imagine often have a mad half hour or try to talk to you over the manege fence when you are working, how many stallions could deal with that!!!

We are hoping to update his photos again, as the camera didnt cope very well under the bright lights!!!!!

He has been slowly and correctly trained under saddle with the intention of competing in the dressage arena. He is under the regular training and instruction of Mr Stephen Thompson of Daryl Thickitt Dressage and has now been presented in the dressage arena at his first competition with superb results. We hope to carry on with his competing throughout 2009 and expect he will go from strength to strength.

We welcome anyone to visit him and see him at home at any time, although we prefere if you make an appointment so we have proper time to spend as its sometimes quite hectic or we could be competing and he might not be here!!! We are always thrilled to show him under saddle to any visitors.

Competition Results......

After training slowly and correctly as we didnt want to rush Ted, we presented him at his first dressage competition in January 09. He found the Arena a little spooky but was on his best behaviour throughout the day. The photos we have taken unfortunately are not the best as the camera didnt cope well with the lighting, so we are hoping to update with better photos in due course.

We are planning now to move on with his ridden competitive career in 2010 having had such a busy 2009 stud season we didnt have much time for anything else!!! We feel it adds purpose to his CV and proves just what a level headed boy he really is.

"Doreen" - Doreen was born 17th July 2010 at 1.15pm out of our own Chanel V she is our first "Ted Baby" at home!!!! She will have her own page in due course!!!
